Independent board-level judgement.   Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Enterprise Risk Restoring control where failure carries material consequence.

When trust breaks, consequences follow: exposure escalates, scrutiny intensifies, and organisations lose control. My work restores clarity, ownership, and direction where uncertainty and fragmentation threaten organisational stability.

I lead organisations out of uncertainty, cyber risk, and regulatory scrutiny, restoring control and enabling decisions that hold up under pressure.

By combining executive judgement, technical depth, and regulatory insight, I cut through complexity to stabilise high-risk situations and translate competing priorities into effective action. Decisions must withstand scrutiny while remaining practical, proportionate, and durable at scale.

Having operated across executive leadership, business operations, commercial strategy, enterprise risk, legal affairs, engineering, cybersecurity, and data protection, I connect risks others treat separately and establish coherent direction.

Drawing on that, I relieve stakeholder pressure and restore confidence in high-stakes environments. I also contribute through bodies such as the EDPB, IAPP, and NIST, and speak across Europe and in private executive settings.

Where failure carries material consequence, sound judgement demands courage, resilience, and discipline to challenge weak assumptions, confront uncomfortable truths, adapt to change, and act decisively under pressure.

The earliest warning signs are often the easiest to ignore. This is where I step in, whether risk is emerging or already materialising. I operate where most hesitate: turning silence into dialogue, uncertainty into action, and risk into strength.

Approach

Establishing reality

  • What do we know?

I separate evidence from assumption before deciding what comes next.

  • What are we assuming?

I challenge assumptions, expose blind spots, and verify what others take for granted.

  • What are we really trying to solve?

I identify the underlying problem before treating its symptoms.

  • What matters most?

I distinguish between what is urgent, what is important, and what can wait.

Transformation

Removing barriers

  • Silence
    Dialogue

People often tell me what they have not told anyone else, allowing hidden realities to be addressed.

  • Uncertainty
    Action

People often pause, smile, and say, ‘Now I get it.’ Understanding brings relief and reveals the way forward.

  • Risk
    Strength

People often say, ‘OK, this is actually manageable.’ They stop fearing the situation and start taking action.

Quantum computing and its impact on cybersecurity

Quantum computers perform calculations exponentially faster than our current computers, potentially threatening the security of our digital, encrypted communications, such as online banking. So, how can we prepare for the future?

Quantum computing and its impact on cybersecurity

Today, at 12:15 PM CEST, I’ll bring you up to speed on current developments such as ‘post-quantum’ cryptography and quantum key distribution (QKD), as well as opportunities in cybersecurity to enhance threat detection and enable more robust defence mechanisms.

Join me at #RISK digital to examine the changing risk landscape and make quantum part of your long-term cyber strategy.

Constructing an effective privacy initiative for measurable outcomes

There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to privacy. After all, privacy is contextual, subjective, and culturally influenced. So, how can we construct an effective privacy program with meaningful key performance and risk indicators?

Constructing an effective privacy initiative for measurable outcomes

Today, at 12:30 PM CET, I’ll share why we need to pivot our privacy programs beyond mere compliance with data protection regulations. I’ll also share how organisations can build a privacy program that delivers measurable and impactful outcomes.

ChatGPT: the data privacy nightmare?

ChatGPT has taken the world by storm. Within two months of its release, it reached 100 million active users, making it the fastest-growing consumer application ever—but what about the collection and (re)use of all this data?

ChatGPT: the data privacy nightmare?

Today, at 12:30 PM CET, I’ll share several concerns relating to personal data and intellectual property, what measures are said to be in place, and what the regulatory and operational future may hold to support AI language models.

Interests

Staying sharp, sceptical, and curious

Understanding how systems fail people is the first step toward making them worthy of trust.
  • Digital society

I follow case law and policy on AI, privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity to understand the ethical and societal impact of algorithmic systems, surveillance capitalism, and Big Tech.

  • Adversarial thinking

I practise ethical hacking to understand how systems fail people, applying adversarial thinking and threat intelligence to strengthen architecture, infrastructure, and code.

  • Human behaviour

I’m fascinated by psychology and use OSINT techniques to support real-world cases while exploring the digital exposure created by information people unintentionally reveal.

  • Engineering & automation

I build my own tools to improve productivity while exploring new approaches to security engineering and infrastructure orchestration, deliberately staying hands-on.
